What DomainsMesh is

DomainsMesh is a free set of domain research tools. There is no account to create, no trial, and no paywall on any of the public tools — you can open a page, type a domain, and get an answer.

Every result comes from live sources at the moment you ask: registry RDAP services for availability and registration records, DNS-over-HTTPS for record lookups, and a direct TLS connection for certificate inspection. We do not serve availability from a pre-built list, because such a list is stale the moment it is written.

What we actually check

Availability checking currently covers 76 extensions. That is a deliberate number rather than a marketing one: it is the set for which we can get an authoritative answer from a registry or a documented WHOIS service. Where a registry publishes no usable service, we report unknown rather than guessing, because a confident wrong answer about a domain is worse than an honest gap.

The public tools are:

  • Domain Checker — availability for one name across your chosen extensions.
  • Bulk Domain Checker — the same availability engine across a pasted list, up to 500 checks per run.
  • WHOIS / RDAP — registrar, key dates, nameservers and status codes, read from the registry's own RDAP service.
  • DNS Lookup — A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME, SOA and CAA records.
  • SSL Checker — certificate validity, hostname match, chain trust and expiry.
  • Blacklist Checker — DNSBL listing status, with sources that fail to answer reported as unavailable rather than as "clean".
  • IP Lookup — reverse DNS, network ownership and approximate geolocation.
  • Domain, Business and Website name generators — name ideas with a real availability check attached.

Domain Monitor is the one feature that needs an account. It watches domains you have verified you control and tells you when their DNS, nameservers, certificate or expiry date change.

How this is paid for

The tools are funded through affiliate partnerships with domain registrars. When you follow one of our registrar links and register a domain, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That relationship is disclosed in full, including which registrars are involved, on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Affiliate links never change a result. Availability, WHOIS, DNS, SSL and blacklist answers come from registries and DNS, and no partner can pay to alter what a tool reports.

What we are not

DomainsMesh is an independent tool, not a registrar, registry, reseller or hosting provider. We cannot register, transfer, renew or cancel a domain for you, and we take no payment for domain names. The full statement of limits is in our Disclaimer.
