Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 1, 2026
1. Overview
DomainsMesh ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at domainsmesh.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data. We are committed to being transparent and keeping your data minimal.
Short version: We collect very little data. Most of our tools work without any account, and your search history stays in your own browser.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
We do not require you to create an account to use DomainsMesh. We do not collect your name, email address, or personal details unless you voluntarily contact us through the contact form.
2.2 Automatically collected data
When you visit our website, standard web server logs may record:
- Your IP address (anonymised after 24 hours)
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring URL
- Device type and operating system
We use this data for security, performance monitoring and aggregate analytics. We do not sell your personal information. Note that when ads are displayed, your IP address and browser data are received directly by Google and its advertising partners as part of the ad request — see section 3.1 and our Cookie Policy for how to opt out.
2.3 Local browser storage
Our WHOIS and DNS tools store your recent search history in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time from within the tool or by clearing your browser data.
3. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising
DomainsMesh uses cookies and similar technologies in three categories. Our Cookie Policy covers each one in full detail.
- Preferences — stored in localStorage as
dm-themeto remember your light/dark mode choice, plus your recent searches. This never leaves your device. - Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation) and cookieless Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use analytics data to identify you.
- Advertising — this site is supported by ads served through Google AdSense, which uses cookies.
3.1 Google AdSense — required disclosures
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy. You can change or withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in our footer.
4. Affiliate Links
Some links on DomainsMesh (particularly on the Deals page) are affiliate or referral links. When you click these links and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the provider at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate links are routed through our own domain (/api/go/[partner]) so that the destination URL is not exposed in your browser before you click. The provider's website may set its own cookies when you land on their page — their privacy policies apply from that point forward.
5. Third-Party Services
DomainsMesh uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1) — DNS queries are forwarded to Cloudflare's DNS-over-HTTPS resolver. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to these requests.
- Verisign RDAP / IANA RDAP — WHOIS lookups query public RDAP endpoints. No personal data is sent; only the domain name you look up.
- AI-Powered Name Generator — Domain name generation requests are forwarded to the AI-Powered Name Generator. Only your keyword and selected TLDs are sent.
- Google AdSense — serves the advertising that funds this site. How Google uses data from partner sites.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic measurement with IP anonymisation enabled.
- Vercel — hosting and cookieless page-view analytics.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not control, and are not responsible for, their practices.
6. Data Retention
We do not store personal data beyond what is necessary for security and legal compliance. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months to follow up on your query, then deleted.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
DomainsMesh is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of DomainsMesh after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at [email protected] or through our contact page.
